He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Opalko and Anna Opalko; his wife Florence Opalko; his daughter Karen Eppler; his daughter-in-law Joyce Opalko; and his siblings, Anna, Stanley, Joseph (Butchie), Louis (Mugsie), Bernie, Francie and Theresa.
He is survived by: his son Michael Opalko; his grandchildren, Nathan Opalko (Crystal), Sarah Sumner (Kyle), Jacob Opalko (Cara) and Kyle Eppler (Hayley); his great grandchildren, Jay, Jack, Bram, Samson and Wilson; and his father-in-law Jim Eppler.
