Leslie Lynn Held Obituary
Leslie Lynn Held, born February 25, 1969, age 52, currently of Melvindale, Michigan, passed away December 30, 2021 from cancer exacerbated by the covid virus.
Leslie was a dear mother to Grant Michael Holliday, daughter of Linda Kay Hawthorne-Held of Melvindale, Michigan and Craig Clinton Held of Union Lake, Michigan, and brother Brett Craig Held also of Union Lake, Michigan and step brother, Alec Hughes of Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Our Lady of the Snows, Milford, Michigan.
Leslie graduated from Brighton and Walled Lake High Schools. She went on to study at Washtenaw Community College. Leslie had 30 years of medical experience. First at St. Joesph's Mercy Healthcare Association in the various positions within their association, her last position within their association was as Medical Administrator. Her most recent position was at the Center for Neurological Studies and Center for Integrated Neurology with Doctor Randall Benson.
Leslie was an avid reader, enjoyed music, Bob Ross tutorials, and was looking forward to painting. She loved being outdoors, and participated in various sports, such as tennis and skiing. Leslie was an excellent skater and her most recent activity was participating in roller derby.
A favorite quote of hers was: "The flower that blooms in adversity is the most beautiful flower of all". Leslie was a beautiful, kind, strong, and courageous woman in everything she attempted. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 am, January 11, 2022 at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows, 1955 E. Commerce Road, Milford, Michigan 48381. Luncheon will follow the Mass.
