He is survived by: his wife Flor; his children, Teresa Heise, Richard Jr. and Robin Nead; his stepchildren, Kent Mercial, May Flor, Kim Floremer, Frencis Nino, Cristine, Karen Rose and Monica Hera; his granddaughters, Angela Olmstead (Austin) and Autumn Hoffman; his great grandchildren, Zachary (Aurora), Haley, Leonard, Charles, Clara and Matilda; and his siblings, Ronald, Dennis Nead (Nancy) and Kathy Powell (Walt).
