He was predeceased by: his parents, Argus Sr. Mays and Edith Mays (Blevins). He is survived by: his sons, Argus Mays III, Jayson Mays (Jennifer) and Matthew Mays; his grandchildren, Avery Mays and Nico Mays; his brothers, Charles "Chuck" Mays and Barry Mays (Ruth); his sister-in-law Shirley Mays; his brother Joe Mays; and his nephew Troy Mays. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Millington High School Athletic Association.
