We announce the death of Ila Beckman-Ritter of Millington, Michigan, who passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 86. Ila will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Fishburn and Cyrena Fishburn (Burke); her former husband Charles Beckman Jr.; her husband Arthur Ritter Jr.; her daughter Patricia Todd; her children-in-law, Roger Todd and Virginia Beckman; her in-laws, Charles and Leona Beckman; and her brother Robert Fishburn.
She is survived by: her children, Leo Beckman (Lynne) of Flint, Gladys Custer (James) of Vassar, Tina Schnepp (Earl) of Fife Lake, Ken Beckman (Rebecca) of Millington, Tim Beckman (Deborah) of Vassar and Chuck Beckman (Patty) of Millington; and her siblings, Anna Smejkal of Sumner, MI and Roland Fishburn of Greenville, SC. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to Hampton Nursing & Rehab of Bay City, Michigan.
