He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jo Michael; his parents, Houston Michael and Josie; his parents-in-law, Michael Bodag and Mary Bodag; and his siblings, Lacy Michael, Lloyd Michael, Lester Michael, JB Michael, Michael, Cecil Michael, Florence Hester, Lois Wallace and Loreene Holland.
Aside from being a lifetime member of the Millington Masonic Lodge, James was a drywaller by trade who enjoyed working so much that he worked until he contracted COVID in 2020 at the age of 85, which made it impossible for him to continue.
