He was predeceased by: his parents, James Benjamin and Alice Benjamin (Harrison); his wife Marilyn Wilson; and his siblings, Pat, Janet, Elaine and Charles.

He is survived by: his children, Lori Schultz (Wayne) of Millington, Linda Newsom (William) of Flint and Scott Benjamin (Shelly) of Swartz Creek; his grandchildren, Andrea (Donald), Samantha, Jacob, Paul, Taylor (Allysha) and Brooke; his great grandchildren, Renae (Ethan), Kirsten, Dylan and Ian; his great great grandchild Josette; his brother John Benjamin (Carol); and his brother-in-law Donald Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
