He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Kern and Ernestine Kern (Smith); his wife Barbara Kern; his son Randy Kern; and his granddaughter Carrie Colosky.
He is survived by: his daughter Debra Colosky (Ted); his daughter-in-law Carol Kern; his grandchildren, Jeremy Kern (Morgan), Carrie Kern, Jeff Colosky (Kelly) and Jason Colosky (Jennifer); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Zoey, Cheyenne, Sara, Landon, Wyatt and Sawyer; his great great grandchild Everlee; and his in-laws, Carl and Maureen Kralik.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hanlin Funeral Home - Millington (4823 Main St, Millington, MI 48746). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (5855 Frankenmuth Rd, Vassar, MI 48768).
