He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Coutcher and Esther Coutcher (Simmons); and his siblings, Charles Coutcher, Larry Coutcher, Tom Coutcher, Connie Fredericks and Paula Cooper.

He is survived by: his wife Penny; his daughters, Bethany Smith (Mike) of Vassar and Barbara Coughlin (Marc) of Metamora; his grandchildren, Brianna Anderson, Caleb Smith, Logan Coughlin and Lauren Coughlin; and his siblings, Russell Coutcher, Michael Coutcher, Sherry Cox, Pamela Coutcher and Lana Hart (Dennis). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
