He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; his son James LaVerne TerHaar; and his sister Carol Barrigear (Ernie). He is survived by: his children, Donald, Lynn TerHaar, Anne Burkett, Richard and Kristy TerHaar; and his grandchildren, Derrick, Jami TerHaar, Justin, Rachael Reimink, Mark, Alicia Adams, Brian, Shauna Burkett, Sara, Dustin Hollingshead, Becky Burkett, Hannah TerHaar and Elizabeth TerHaar. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
