He is survived by: his wife Donna Sottile; his children, Julie Elizabeth Shorthouse (Gareth Burnett) of Newmarket England, Katherine Boyer (John), Cambridge England, Eric Sottile (Stacy) and Andre' Sottile (Erica) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Andrew, Genevieve Sottile, Michaela (Chris) and Tristen D; his brother Clive Shorthouse (Mary) of Newhaven England; his nieces, Clare Fowler (John), Fleur Hemmings (Geoff) and Charlotte Xerri (Marcel); his cousin Bill Shorthouse (Waterlooville England); and his friend Jim Wilkes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shorthouse Sottile Scholarship Fund at St. Mary Catholic Central, Monroe Catholic Elementary School Scholarship Fund, St Jude or Monroe County Library System.
