She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert G. Hatcher and Lillian F. Hatcher (Cordrey); her husband Dennis T. Whitaker; her siblings, Garwood, Jack, Harold Hatcher and Philema; her stepmother Gwendolyn Hatcher; and her stepbrother Dennis Foster.
She is survived by: her children, David Whitaker (Linda) of Monroe, Karen Durocher (Terry) of Monroe, Cheryl Benitez-Metcalf (Thomas) of Elizabethtown and Lori Floering (John) of Toledo, Ohio; her brother Gilbert Roland Hatcher (Marilyn) of Temperance; and her stepsiblings, Larry Kiefer, Dorothy Dusseau, Patty Berry (Clay), Janet Faunce (Curt), Paula Doster, Cindy Riley (John) and Joyce Kiefer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
