He was predeceased by: his parents, Swann L. Sweatt and Lillie M. Sweatt (Petree); and his sister Hattie Mushing. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Jenise Sweatt; his children, Carl Lee Sweatt (Jenise) and Cynthia Sue Yeary (Floyd) of Ida, MI; his grandchildren, Macy, Christian, Caleb Yeary, Megan Rennert (Christopher), Ian, Emma and Casey Sweatt; his great grandchildren, Logan and Evelyn Rennert; his siblings, Nadine Bowers of Monroe, Buddy Sweatt (Linda) of Kokomo, IN, Verlin Sweatt (Barb) of Temperance, MI, Novie Atkins (Bert) of Florida and Wilma Bondie of Toledo; and his pet Gatsby.

Due to the COVID19 Virus all services will be private and he will be entombed next to his wife at Roselawn Memorial Park.
