We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2026, at the age of 75, Cathy A. Ansel (Monroe, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandson Kyler Smiley. She is survived by: her husband Darryl Ansel; her children, Derek Ansel (Mary), Jayme McElvany (Josh) and Jodee Smiley (Scott); her grandchildren, Tristen (Riley), Francesca (Joey), Jacob, Jackson, Tanner, Madison, Cole, MaKaylee (Alek) and Caleb; her great grandchild Haven; and her siblings, Roxanne (Dave), Jimmie (late Terry) and Jennifer (Ken).
A reception will be held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service - South Monroe (14567 S Dixie Hwy, Monroe Charter Twp, MI 48161).
