He is survived by: his children, Carla Mendez of Warren, Denesia Mendez of Monroe and Charles Pugh of Monroe; his siblings, Carol Smith of Monroe, Thomas Ellison of Monroe, Isac Smith of Monroe, David Smith of Macomb County, Ronell Smith of St. Louis, Richard Ellison of Flat Rock and Lawrence Smith of Toledo; his grandchildren, DeAndres Mendez, Chanel Cheatham, Aisha Harris, Cinnamin Warren, Romell Morrow and Blake Morrow III; his great grandchildren, Kamani Pressley, Kevin Pressley II and Alicia Gallegos; and his close friend Brenda Pugh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
