He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Lee Brancheau; his brothers, Bernard Brancheau and Lawrence Brancheau; and his significant other Sanjuanita Teeple. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth VerSluis (Scott) of Pickford, Christopher Brancheau (Stephanie) of Monroe, Daniel Brancheau (Rachael Garramone) of Ida and Marc Brancheau (Shannon) of Newport; his brother Melvin Brancheau (Barb) of Maybee; and his grandchildren, Paul Burr II (Kate), Michael Burr, Cory VerSluis (Alyssa), Jarrett Brancheau, Megan Brancheau and Keegan Brancheau.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to plant a tree in his honor at a National Forest.
