We announce the death of Devin A. Benvenuto of Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 34. Devin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his stepfather Thomas Sourbeck; his grandparents, Lela, Stephen Kalman, Margaret, Carl Mruzek, Tony and Joyce Benvenuto; his aunt Connie Benvenuto; and his uncle Gregory Benvenuto.
He is survived by: his parents, David A. Benvenuto and Nathalee R. Benvenuto (Sype); his wife Jackie; his stepmother Ilene Benvenuto; his grandmother Sandra Sourbeck; his children, Roman, Emma, Jacob, Abrianna, Eliasz and A. J.; his brothers, Nicholas Sourbeck and Brenden Sourbeck; his stepsiblings, Michael Schindler (Bethannie), Melissa Hutting (Brian) and Breonna Lusch (Stephen); and his grandchildren, Kalani and Amaya. He is also survived by 31 loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (502 W Front St, Monroe, MI 48161). A Mass will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
