With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Joel Bateman of Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on November 19, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Bateman and Bertha Bateman (Hopewell); and his brother Alvin Bateman. He is survived by: his wife Marliyn; his children, Joelee Ann Bateman, Jayna Linn Goins (Tim) and Donald Joel Bateman II; his grandchildren, Joshua Lee Goins (Rebecca), Nathan Raymond Goins (Leah), Jacob Joel Goins (Kelly), Austin Joel Bateman and Casey Marie Bateman; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Halle, Leanne and Cooper; and his sister Eva McKinley of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

No services are currently planned, due to the COVID-19 virus restrictions.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Salvation Army or Oaks of Righteousness.
