She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald William Theisen and Florene Louise Theisen (Mitchell); her husband Richard A. Carpenter; her siblings, Janice Conant, Jeffery Theisen and James Theisen; and her brothers-in-law, Mark Swensen and Tom Stein.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jodi Gelso (Christopher) of Monroe and Brandi Foley (William "Bill") of Monroe; her stepsons, Marc Carpenter (Natalie) of Henderson and Bryan Carpenter (Krystin) of Allen Park; her grandchildren, Alexa, Austin Foley (Mykayla Myers), Justin, Jillian and Jack Gelso; her stepgrandchildren, Kora, Eliza and Lucas Carpenter; her siblings, Cheryl Stein of Monroe, Lietta Bonk (Ken) of Monroe, Marcia Swensen of Kanab, Juanita Theisen of Maybee, Angela Barron of Monroe, David Anthony Theisen of Carleton and John Theisen (Angie) of Pointe Place, Ohio; and her siblings-in-law, Lisa Bruck of Newport and Dr. Gary Conant of Monroe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
