He was predeceased by: his brother Roger Dowler; his sisters-in-law, Karen Dowler and Judy Dowler; and his granddaughters, Paige Horvath and Olivia Dowler.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Shelly Yoas (Lowell), Jeff Dowler (Lynette) and Stephen Dowler (Valerie Horvath); his brother Marvin Dowler (Marilyn) of Harrison, Michigan; his grandchildren, Camden Dowler (Kara), Chelsea Dowler, Chase Dowler (Callie), Ashton Yoas, Evan Yoas, Grant Dowler and Erica Dowler; and his great grandchildren, Russell Dowler, Luke Dowler, Annalee Raine Dowler and Liam Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Grace Lutheran Church, or a charity of the donor's choice.
