He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy VanWassehnova and Anna VanWassehnova (Meyers) of South Rockwood, Michigan.; his brother Allen Joseph VanWassehnova; and his parents-in-law, George and Joyce Bruck.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Bruck; his children, Gary VanWassehnova, Jr. (Nadine) of Monroe, Joseph VanWassehnova of Monroe and Sally Augusta (Derik) of Bardstown, KY; his grandchildren, Samantha Augusta of Monroe, Gage VanWassehnova of Shepherdsville, KY and Brock VanWassehnova of Monroe; his great grandchild Presleigh; his stepgreat-granddaughter Kinley; his siblings, Matheau VanWassehnova (Janet) of South Rockwood and Mary Jane Masserant (Ron) of Newport; and his siblings-in-law, Timothy, Patricia Blackmore, Henry, Joanne Salenbien, Thomas, Mary Lynn Bruck, Ronald, Kathleen Bressler and George "Hunter" Brucks (Connie).
