With solemn reverence, we commemorate Harold A. Sauer of Monroe, Michigan, born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, whose life came to an end on July 28, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold R. Sauer and Betty Sauer (Spoor); and his siblings, Gretchen, Mary Louise, Warren and Gordon.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy J. Trouten; his children, Craig Sauer of Monroe, Troy Straub (Renee) of Peoria, Arizona, Lisanne Buchko (David) of Monroe and Kristine Walker (Josh) of Monroe; his brother Norman Sauer (Terry); his grandchildren, McKenzie (Riley), Alexandra (Joe), Ashley, Nicholas, Evan (Jenna), Andrew, Benjamin, Olivia and Julianna; and his great grandchild Teddy.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Harold's honor may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
