She was predeceased by : her parents, Hoyt Chambers and Thelma Chambers (Curry); her husband James Carl "J. C." Turner; her siblings, Bonnie Goudy and John Chambers; her son Gary Cosby; and her grandson Dawson Turner.
She is survived by : her children, James Turner Jr. (Karen) of Monroe, Clyde Cosby of Ypsilanti, Larry Cosby of Erie, Danny Turner of Newport, Jeff Cosby (Concetta) of Monroe, Jerry Cosby (Doreen) of Florida, Jamie Turner (Rachel Mathena) of Franklin, Kim Tolles (Jeff) of Augusta and Loretta Yuergens (Ray) of Avon, Indiana; her daughter-in-law Nancy Cosby of Monroe; and her siblings, Margie Cupp (James) of Tazewell, Tennessee and Bill Chambers of Woodhaven. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (14567 S Dixie Hwy, Monroe Charter Twp, MI 48161).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Thrift Shop of Monroe.
