Irene Finley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Finley of Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roy L. Finley; her parents, James Gardner and Mildred Gardner (Colton); her sisters, Norma Pearch and Laura Finley; and her granddaughter Angela Finley.
She is survived by: her children, James Finley (Catherine Williams) of Port Charlotte, Florida, Carol Foshag (Charlie) of Newport and John Finley (Susie) of Toledo; her sisters, Gertrude Parlette of Monroe and Ruth Owsley of Monroe; her grandchildren, Brian Foster (Teresa), Mark Foshag (Sarah), Kenny Foshag (Melissa), Steve Finley, April Stewart (Jim), Jaime Finley and Josh Finley; her great grandchildren, Courtney Roser (Adam), Luke Foshag, Keegan Foshag, Harrison Foshag, Kaleb Foshag, Katie Finley, Morriah Stewart, Maggie Stewart and Noah Finley; and her great great grandchild Michael Roser.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (2345 S Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). The lying in state will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Monroe (1602 N Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48162). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In remembrance of Irene's enduring love for her church community, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Monroe.
