She was predeceased by: her parents, Nunzio Cicanese and Mary Cicanese (Reino); her husband William Giarmo; her son Billy; and her siblings, Kella Durso-Meyn, JoAnne Pizzino and Frank Cicanese.
She is survived by: her son John Giarmo (Janet); her daughter-in-law Connie Giarmo; her grandchildren, Johnathon Giarmo (Agatha), Jared Giarmo (Terra), Alexander Giarmo (Jasmine) and Katie Gauthier (Greg); her great grandchildren, Lainey, Avienda, Ari, Theadora, Celestia, Maya Giarmo, Frankie and William Gauthier; and her siblings, William Cicanese (Betty) and Carol Michael (David).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (511 S Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48161). A Mass will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Meals on Wheels of Monroe.
