He was predeceased by: his parents, Melva Jean Betz (Koester) and Charlie Allen. He is survived by: his sons, Charlie Betz (Linda), Rockwood and Johnny Betz of Newport, MI; the mother of his children Bonita Servey; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Johnathan, Vivienne and Caleb.
