James Bica Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Bica of Monroe, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 17, 2023 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Bica to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Bica and Mary Bica (Pollaccia); his wife Bonnie McDowell; his siblings, William Bica and Josephine Leabo; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Bica, Judy Bica, Pete Leabo, Rich Hewison, Karen Purcell and Michael Purcell.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Kemmerling (Ken), James Bica II (Darcy) and Christopher Bica (Sara); his grandchildren, Rose, Grace, Brooke, Maia, Mara, Blayne and Bennett; his brother Michael Bica; and his siblings-in-law, Bernice "Bunny" Bica, Barbara Hewison, Thomas McDowell (Nora) and James McDowell (Brenda). He is also survived by his family especially watching his grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
