Joe S. Shiflet Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe S. Shiflet of Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on June 13, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shiflet and Ollie Shiflet (Brewer); and his children, Emery and Karen. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Shiflet; his daughters, Eva Wellhousen (Mark) of Monroe, Gail Sunderland (Bill) of Monroe and Betsy Shappee (Scott) of Monroe; his siblings, Harold Shiflet of Tazewell, TN, Madeline Roe (Hugh) of Kokomo, IN, Wilma Carter of Speedwell, TN and Jim Shiflet (Ellen) of Franklin, WI; his grandchildren, Andrea Umfress (Tim Elek), Autumn Schneider (Brad), Jacqueline Sunderland, Robert Sunderland, Thomas Sunderland (Ivan Vega), Ashley Runals (Josh) and Alex Wellhousen; his great grandchildren, Stephan Umfress, Jacob Schneider (Abigail), Andrew Schneider, Henrik Wagel and Miles Wagel; and his son-in-law Rev. Mark Wellhousen (Carleton Church).
