He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gratowski and Agnes Gratowski (Benda); and his brother Rick Gratowski. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Gratowski Jr. (Heather) of Brownstown and Nicholas Gratowski (Teresa) of Newport; his significant other Rita Gratowski; his grandchildren, Athena, Serena, Daisy and Colton; and his siblings, Paul (Janis), Edward (Stephanie), Raymond (Tammy), John and Danyel "Bucki" (Charlie).

A reception was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (2442 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162).
