He was predeceased by: his sisters, Lorin Elizabeth Toeppe and Kelliegh Elizabeth Toeppe; and his grandparents, Norbert Jenkins, Donald Toeppe Sr. and Norma Toeppe (Vallance).
He is survived by: his children, Trevor Lee Toeppe of Rossford, Ohio, Cole Anthony Toeppe of Monroe, Makayla June Toeppe of Monroe and Makenzie May Toeppe of Monroe; his grandson Leeland; his wife Marie DeCapo; his parents, Donald Toeppe and Sharon Toeppe Jr. of Greenville; his grandmother Margaret Jenkins of Monroe; his siblings, David Stephen Toeppe (Jennifer) of Ida, Luke Nathaniel Toeppe (Charisse) of Greenville and Leigh Elizabeth Tipper (Nathan) of Greenville; his close friends, Matt, Melanie Yavorsky, Jared, Janelle Reece, Jason and Leanda Drouillard; and also, Paul and Diane Tokarz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who made up Joe's extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (14567 S Dixie Hwy, Monroe Charter Twp, MI 48161). The lying in state was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elevate Church (15269 S Dixie Hwy, Monroe, MI 48161). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
