Joyce Ann Staelgraeve Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ann Staelgraeve (Monroe, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 29, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Post and Charlotte Post; and her brothers, Cloyce Post and Ernest Post. She is survived by: her husband Gary Staelgraeve; her daughter Karie Staelgraeve; her grandson Angel Staelgraeve; her brothers, Eugene Post (Marie), Roger Post (Rosie) and Daniel Post (Barb); and her sisters-in-law, Liz Post and Sue Post. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (2345 S Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A rosary was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Grace Parish- St. Joseph (9207 Joseph St, Maybee, MI 48159). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“To Gary and Angel, I send sympathy to you . I would sometimes play with Joyce when children. We always hugged when we would see each other as we married and had families. I knew Joyce to always be kind and fun person to know. It's hard to imagine someone as nice as Joyce gone, she was 2 yrs younger than myself.”
