He is survived by: his children, Kevin Kerste of LaSalle, Brian Kerste of LaSalle, Dean Kerste (Linda) of Maybee and Karen Simmons (James) of LaSalle; his brother-in-law David Reinhardt (Carole) of Samaria; his brother Theodore Kerste of Brooklyn; his grandchildren, Christopher Kerste (Kayla), Miki Wass (Seth), Joseph Simmons (Chris), Tyler Simmons and Justin Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Elli, Zoey, Ada and August.
