He is survived by: his wife Karen E. LaVigne of Monroe; his daughter Ashley LaVigne of Clare, Michigan; his stepsons, Kevin Gibson (Anne) of Allen Park and Brad Gibson of Ann Arbor; his grandchildren, Haley Gibson, Cameron Gibson and Christian Gibson; his sister Elaine Eckhoff of Harrison, Michigan; and his mother-in-law Theresa R. Miller of Monroe. He is also survived by six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor, Michigan.
