He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard W. Kinsey and Helen E. Kinsey (Rathke); his son-in-law James Weeks; and his brother Garry Kinsey. He is survived by: his wife Karon A. Morrin; his children, Barry C. Kinsey of Monroe, Krystin K. Weeks (late James Weeks) of Plymouth and Brandon C. Kinsey (Julie) of Dundee; his grandchildren, Chloe, Sam, Nick, Madeline MaryMargaret (Samuel), Meredith, MacKenzie, Carson and Nora; and his sisters, Linda Riley of Erie and Sharon Welton of Ludington, MI..
