She was predeceased by: her grandchildren, Gary Deaton, Jennifer Lancaster and James Deaton; and her brothers, Howard Hamby, Eugene Hamby and Homer Hamby.

She is survived by: her spouse Lawrence Deaton; her children, Lawrence Deaton of Erie, MI, Harold Deaton of Spring City, TN, Harvey Deaton of Monroe, MI, Carolyn Branham (Jack) of Erie, MI and Gordon Deaton (Nancy) of Monroe, MI; and her siblings, Larry Hamby (Vickie) of Soddy Daisy, TN, William Hamby of Dayton, TN, Bernice Henderson of Dayton, TN, Dora Lester of Mansfield, OH, Mary Webb (Marvin) of Dayton, TN and Emma Lee Stanifer of Dayton, TN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren.
