We announce the death of Lois J. Knegendorf of Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 95. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Barron and Hazel Barron (Blanchette); her husband Bob; her sons, Earl Hemry and Jackie Hemry, Jr.; her son-in-law Thomas Brown; and her brother Raymond Barron, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Christine Frayer (Robert) of Chelsea, MI, Kevin Hemry (Patricia) of Monroe, MI, Nancy Ellison (Scott) of Monroe, MI and Lisa Brown of Newport, MI; her daughter-in-law Melinda Hemry of Perry, MI; her sister-in-law Teresa Barron of Monroe, MI; and her grandchildren, Robert Frayer, III (Jennifer), Christopher Frayer (Kelly Foster), Allison Kellogg (Benjamin), Brooke Hemry, Kevin Hemry, II (Sarah), Kelli Eby (DJ), Kayla Warren (Anthony), Paige Hemry (Noah King), Corey Cousino (Mackenzie Deater), Brittany Voyles (Shawn), Nicholas Brown, Joshua Brown (Nicole) and Jonathan Brown. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
She was an avid volunteer at the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging, a volunteer at RSVP, and a life member of Frenchtown Center for Active Adults.
To honor Lois's spirit for helping others, the family requests monetary acts of kindness go to support the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging, or St. Michael Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.
