She was predeceased by: her mother Johanna McDonnell (Murphy); her husband Robert Edwin Ross; her grandson Donavan Hammer; and her siblings, John, Patrick McDonnell, Eileen McEntee and Kathleen McDonnell.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Hammer (Charles) of Newport, Robert Roy Ross of Carleton and David Burchette-Ross (Brian) of Monroe; her siblings-in-law, Roberta McDonnell, Michael McEntee and Sandy Zaite; her grandchildren, Desiree Hammer (Stewart), Daniel Hammer (April Sawyer), Dillion Hammer (Kelsey Yarger), Dustin Hammer, Amanda Johnson (Chad), Robert Ross (Amy), Logan Ross, Blake Cooper, Eric Rigsby (Dakota), Destiny Rigsby (Kristin Carner), Andi Vail, Alex Vail (Adara Creasman), Benjamin Mercieca (Maura Tyno) and Jared Mercieca; and her great grandchildren, Struan, Margot McDonald, Kaiden, Karson Hammer, Rylee, Taylor Johnson, Emmett, Coraline, Johnny Cooper, Olivia Opfermann, Cheyenne Ross, Bentley, Fallon Rigsby, Braelyn Carner, Harper Crist and Layla Carner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (2442 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (8125 Swan Creek Rd, Newport, MI 48166). A Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery North Dixie.
