She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Ahrendt and Pearl Ahrendt (Jacobs); her husband Howard A. McDonald; her siblings, Robert, Kenneth Ahrendt, Kathleen Rademacher and Evelyn Clark; and her grandson Michael McDonald.

She is survived by: her children, Tom McDonald (Vickie) of Parkland, Rob McDonald (Ann) of Colorado Springs, Laura Ritzler (Dan) of Fostoria, Lynn Reino (Mike) of Tiffin, Scott McDonald (Paula) of Lafayette, Barry McDonald (Denise) of San Diego, Patty LaVigne (Jerry) of Monroe, Bruce McDonald (Mike Cogan) of Scottsdale, Brian McDonald of Erie, Tim McDonald (Jeanette) of Monroe and Chris McDonald (Hunyen Lee) of Gaithersburg. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
