With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pete Zanger of Monroe, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Pete Zanger to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Zanger and Maria Zanger (Pagelli); his siblings, Mary Cusumano, Josephine Brusca, Antonio Zanger and Santo Zangara; and his siblings-in-law, Benny Brusca and Maddalena Zanger.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Anne; his children, Jack Zanger of Monroe, Karen Langermann (Lou) of Winter Garden, FL, Patty Zanger of Monroe and Teresa Mayne (Rick) of Newport; his brothers, Michael Zangara (Antoinette) and Dominic Zanger; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Zanger and Judy Zangara; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Justin, Louis IV, Hillary, Kristen, Pete and Jeffrey. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Marys Catholic Church (127 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pete's memory are suggested to VFW Post 1138, Monroe.
