As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Smith (Burkhart) and Herbert Smith; and his sister Janie Howard. He is survived by: his wife Nalda Smith (Lay); his daughters, Melissa Smith, Summer Pierce (William) and Shauna Gaynier (Matthew); and his sisters, Brenda Hopper and Vickie Hawks. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
