He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Calkins and Virginia Calkins (Leonard); his brother Greg Calkins; and his brother-in-law Joe Richardville. He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Loonis; his children, Richard Calkins (Susan) of Carleton, Cheryl Famulak (Drew) of Grand Rapids, Stefanie Calkins (Don Wolfe) of Camas, WA and Tim Calkins (Shannon Kinne) of Charleston, SC; his siblings, Kathy Staelgraeve (Eugene) of Monroe, Ken Calkins of Monroe, Mark Calkins of Carleton, Jeanne Riley (Ron) of Monroe, Jim Calkins of Monroe and Veronica Wilkins (Wayne) of Livonia; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Ian, Emma, Erich and Opal.
