Ruth Ann Masserant Obituary

We announce the death of Ruth Ann Masserant (Monroe, Michigan), who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 91. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Flory and Bernetta Flory (Iott); her husband Gerald Masserant; her sons, David C. Masserant and Edward Blase Masserant; her granddaughters, Anne-Marie Jones and Mary Jones; her great grandchildren, Oswald Burkardt, Francis Burkardt and Eli Ewals; and her siblings, Agnes Nagel (Louis), Angela DeLand (Eugene), Mary DeLand (Stuart), Martha Flory, John Flory (Diane) and Raymond Flory.

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Jones (Robert), Kenneth Masserant, Rollin Masserant (Brenda), Laura Burkardt (Peter), Mary Miller (Scott), Cheryl Burkey (Kerry), Barbara Boggs (Thomas), Michelle Gennoe (Gene) and Lynn Hintz (David); her daughter-in-law Catherine Masserant; her sister Louise Hempel (Raymond); and her sister-in-law Sharon Flory. She is also survived by 67 grandchildren, 132 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
