She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Stepp and Alberta Stepp (Parrot); and her siblings, Tom Stepp, Vergie McNew and Imogene Robertson.
She is survived by: her husband Eddie Fortner; her children, Rebecca "Becky" Fortner (Shannon), Thomas Nelson Fortner and Timothy Mitchel Fortner; her grandchildren, Anissa Fortner (Vanessa), Stephanie Fortner, Elizabeth Fortner, Zachary Miller (Stephanie), Zachary Wolfe and Nicholas Fortner; her great grandchildren, Sophie and Ivy Miller; her siblings, June Stepp, Mark Stepp, Bob Stepp (Ann) and Sam Stepp (Darlene); and her sister-in-law Michele Mead (Craig). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a feline friend.
She donated generously to Oaks of Righteousness and once, with the help of her family, sent over six hundred Christmas cards to the elderly.
