With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley Hoffman-Owens (Monroe, Michigan), born in New Boston, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley left this world on December 3, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellsworth Kittle and Orilla Kittle (Pelton); her son Carl Hoffman; her husbands, Howard E. Hoffman and Jimmy Owens; and her siblings, Emma, Leona, Helen, Donald, Larry, Henry, Pete, Elmer, Albert and Harold Kittle.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hoffman of Monroe and Ken Hoffman (Melissa) of Saline, Michigan; her siblings, Dorothy Heffron of Georgia, Bobby Kittle (Carol) of Tampa and Jimmy Kittle of St. Petersburg, Florida; her grandchildren, Alicia, Kyle, Andrea and Mark; and her great grandchildren, Clare, Christian, Alexandria, Austin, Zoey and Oliver.
A reception will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service- Monroe (2442 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162).
