He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nordstrom and Sadie Nordstrom (Rasmus); his wives, Dorothy Clark and Ruth Nordstrom; his son Thomas Nordstrom; and his close friend Ruth Whitney.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Nordstrom (Patricia) and James Nordstrom (Deborah); his grandchildren, Christina Nordstrom (Bryan), Johnson, Andrew Nordstrom (Emily), Charles Nordstrom (Dara O'Byrne), Margaret Kreimes (Justin) and David Nordstrom; his great grandchildren, Dorothea, Liliana, Aiden, Ethan, Robert, Theodore, Ciera and Cormac; and his daughter-in-law Martha Nordstrom. He is also survived by step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Walter are suggested to St. Paul Methodist Church of Monroe.
