He is survived by: his children, Wayne Rodd (Shellie), Thomas Rodd and Kimberly Rodd (Chris Pletz); his grandchildren, Tim Rodd, Ann Rodd, Tyler Rodd, Josh Rodd, Nick Rodd, Aleesha Colpeart, Robert Zimmerman, Alanna Colpeart, Emberleigh Perry, Connor Zimmerman and Carson Zimmerman; his great grandchild Riverlynn Williams; and his partner Conni Colpeart.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (2345 S Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church (3589 Heiss Rd, Monroe, MI 48162).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Walt are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
