He is survived by: his friend Bill Rosenbalm; his siblings, Drexel Howard, Wilburn Messer (Curly), Curt Messer (Bean Station), Meadie Osborne (Maryland) and Junus Roberts (Morristown); his granddaughter Erin Haynes; his wife Faye Messer (Dunn); his grandchildren, Cody Haynes (Hannah) and Ferrari Haynes; his stepsons, Marty Haynes and Steve Haynes; his grandchildren, Tammy Merkle (Brian), Kimberly Haynes and Chad Haynes (Holly); and his sister Mildred Hurst (Mickey). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
