With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Truman Lay (Monroe, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Fred Lay; his wife Joyce Ann Gurney; and his sisters, Wilma Geiman (Bernard) and Marjorie Lay. He is survived by: his children, Janet Ploeger of Carleton, Kathleen Ziembowicz of Carleton and William Lay Jr. of Concord, Michigan; his grandchildren, Julie Hagerman (James III) of Carleton, Joey Ziembowicz of Carleton, William Lay III (Nichole Jones) of Taylor and Rachael Lay of Concord, Michigan; his great grandchildren, James Hagerman IV, Caden Hagerman and Benjamin Schrock of Horton, Michigan; his siblings, Raymond Lay (Dorothy) and Janice Green; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Manwaring (Larry) and Mary Garlick.
