He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Applin and Helen Applin; and his grandparents, William, Mae Applin, Alton and Zulma Allor.
He is survived by: his wife Sue (Koepfer) of Sylvania; and his siblings, Pat (Karol), Greg (Mary Ann), Steve (Kerry), Linda Hart-Applin, Shelley Lehmann and Chris Bale. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and their many children.
