With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Swosinski of Montrose, Michigan, who passed away on January 18, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Swosinski and Dolores Swosinski (Gilroy); his wife Carolyn VandeBunt; his brothers, Stanley and Gary; his in-laws, Neal and Pauline VandeBunt; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Bates, Susan Kelly and Cathryn McIlmurray.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew of Detroit and Becky Swosinski (Lisa) of Montrose; his grandson Tyler Swosinski (Cailley Boss) of Zeeland; his sisters, Nancy Bates and Marsha Kilbourne of Gladwin; his siblings-in-law, Susan Swosinski of Lapeer, Jim Kelly of Saginaw and Don McIlmurray of Montrose; and his friends, Joe, Wyoma Lamson, John and Kim Poisson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
